Bangla Heart Rhythm Society (BHRS)

Cardiac arrhythmia is a recognized cause of morbidity and mortality. It is the cause of sudden cardiac death. Increased burden of arrhythmia has been associated with the rapid development of ischemic heart disease management. The understanding of pathophysiology of arrhythmias and its management had significant evolution in last 20 years. That is why a number of cardiac electrophysiologist of Bangladesh felt it necessary to organize an official society for them.

We the several cardiac electrophysiologist whose name and address are given below had meet together on 27 December 2011 to form a society named “Bangladesh Heart Rhythm Society” (BHRS).

Aims and objectives
(BHRS)

A. Promotion of knowledge and expertise among the cardiac electrophysiologist of Bangladesh, to raise the standard of cardiac electrophysiology and device implantation practice for the better management of cardiac arrhythmia patients.

B. Promotion of co-operation and communication with the National and International organizations in the field of cardiac electrophysiology and allied principles.

C. To organize training course and Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs for the members of the society and other doctors.

D. To organize scientific seminars and workshops to carryout educational activities and to discuss professional problems.

E. To publish Journal, news letter on cardiac electrophysiology and device implantation and distribute the Journal/newsletter among the members of the society and interested persons.

F. To promote participation of members of the Society in national and international conferences/training programs on cardiac electrophysiology and allied discipline.

G. To establish and enunciate high standard of education and training in cardiac electrophysiology and device implantation.
